How often do you challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone? We know a 23 year old university graduate who does it pretty often. When he graduated from an Indian university, he had an option to stay back in India and work at some swanky office and chase a career just like so many of his contemporaries did. Instead, he picked up his road bike, packed his belongings in a backpack and headed home to Kathmandu riding some 1200 kilometers stretch over a week. He didn't give up riding and hop on a bus even though he had innumerable flat tires along the arduous journey which to endure extreme heat of the Indian low lands.
Meet Arniko Piya, a 23 year lad old from Bandipur is full of adventure spirit. He wants to make adventure sports his career choice. Recently, he pushed himself again to embark on a solo bike journey to Upper Mustang and back. He went to Lo Manthang and beyond to conduct a trail assessment on a mountain bike. The trail assesment was done as part of NepalNow campaign to let the world know the trails to upper Mustang are intact and ridable. May different options are possible to ride trails of varying difficulties. Trips from 8 days to 15 days are possible in this region. Every mountain biker wants to ride the trails in Upper Mustang region once in his life. This report captures Mustang experience in details.
