Hundreds of people were found cleaning the Bagmati River today. Many of them were young people standing right in the middle of the river, attempting to clean it manually. It takes great amount of resolution to enter a river that is as good as sewage. While most of us complain about the stink every time we pass over the Bagmati Bridge, these people actually had the courage to step in and clean it.
They were all wearing a yellow vest, and seemed to be volunteers of some organisation. The vest stated ‘World Mission Society CHURCH OF GOD’ on the backside.
Their effort is extremely commendable and should not go in vain.
